Qualifying Criteria
The New Entrepreneur category aims to recognise fledging Entrepreneurs who have demonstrated keen business acumen, innovation and creativity in differentiating their businesses in the market.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
(1) The Participant:
- Has been operating the business for a period of more than 3 years but less than 7 years.
- Minimum annual revenue of SGD 1 million.
- Owns at least 30% of the Company’s shares. Candidates who possess less than 30% ownership must submit an endorsement letter from the Company’s Board of Directors.
- Is a Singaporean or Permanent Resident above the age of 18.
(2) The Participant’s Company:
- Has at least 30% local equity.
- Is not a listed company or a subsidiary of a listed company.
- Has at least 3 years of financial statements, which must be audited or verified and attested by a Chartered Accountant (CA) and submitted for evaluation.
- Participants may opt to engage their own chartered accountant or utilize the Rotary Club’s services for a fixed fee of $500.
NOTE: Executive Council Members of ASME, Board of Directors of Rotary Club of Singapore and members of the Award Secretariat are not eligible to participate in the EYA.
The Established Entrepreneur category aims to recognise veteran businessmen who possess the tenacity and resourcefulness that bring their enterprises to success, while embracing innovation and keeping with the changing business landscape and maintaining a strong foothold in the business arena.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
(1) The Participant:
- Has been operating the business for more than 7 years
- Minimum annual revenue of SGD 7 million
- Owns at least 30% of the Company’s shares. Candidates who possess less than 30% ownership must submit an endorsement letter from the Company’s Board of Directors
- Is a Singaporean or Permanent Resident above the age of 21
(2) The Participant’s Company:
- Has at least 30% local equity
- Is not a listed company or a subsidiary of a listed company
- Has at least 3 years of financial statements, which must be audited or verified and attested by a Chartered Accountant (CA) and submitted for evaluation.
- Participants may opt to engage their own chartered accountant or utilise the Rotary Club’s services for a fixed fee of $500.
